November was fairly quiet for new campervan models, but there was one interesting announcement plus there was lots of other exciting news for camping and campervan fans for 2021.
Let’s take a closer look at what’s been happening in the world of campervans over the last month.
Motorhome and Caravan Show Dates Announced
The Warners Shows campervan and caravan exhibition dates for 2021 were announced during November, giving campervan fans something to look forward to in the coming new year. You can check the Warners Shows website for the full list of events, but some highlights include:
The New and Used Motorhome and Campervan Sale event will take place in the East of England Arena in Peterborough during February 26-28. The second edition of this event presents a range of both new and used motorhomes and campervans for sale, often including event-specific discounts. Day tickets are free but you must register online during December 2020.
There is also the Yorkshire Motorhome and Campervan Show taking place at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate between March 19-21. Again there will be lots of new and used motorhomes and campervans for sale in the combined outdoor and indoor exhibition area. There will also be seminars and plenty of industry experts present to talk to at the various stands. Pre-booked tickets cost £5, with tickets on the days costing £8.
Among many others, also look out for the Newbury-based Southern Motorhome and Campervan Show in May, the Midsummer Motorhome and Campervan Show in June in Kenilworth, and the Norfolk Motorhome and Campervan Show in August.
Voting for UK Outdoor Industry Awards 2021 Now Open
The window to place your votes for the 2021 edition of the UK Outdoor Industry Awards (OIA) opened at the end of November and will remain open until April 2nd. An extra incentive to place your votes comes in the form of a special prize draw where a lucky voter can win one of the nominated products.
The voting is currently being conducted online to allow camping and campervan fans to vote for their favourite new outdoor products. However, attendees of the National Outdoor Expo due to be held at the NEC in Birmingham will be able to vote in person at the event. The Expo is currently scheduled to take place over the weekend of March 27-28.
The 2020 event was cancelled this year due to the Covid-19 restrictions, so the OIA 2021 edition is going to be conducted slightly differently to previous years. Usually a panel of industry expert judges whittle the nominations down to a shortlist for the public to vote on, but this time all the products will be available to be voted for by the general public.
